Professor Duchac is the Merrill Lynch Professor of Accounting and director of the enterprise risk management program at the Calloway School of Business and Accounting at Wake Forest University. Previously, he served as Fulbright Distinguished Chair at the Vienna School of Business and Economics. Professor Duchac has published extensively on financial reporting issues such as pension accounting, accounting for derivatives, and structured accounting transactions. He has testified before numerous bodies on accounting issues including the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Financial Services, the Financial Accounting Standards Board, and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Professor Duchac is the co-author of several accounting textbooks, and is identified by BusinessWeek as a prominent faculty member at Wake Forest University.
In addition to his teaching and research activities, Professor Duchac advises a number of companies on financial reporting and risk management issues. He has worked with the investment banking, equity research, and chief financial office units of Merrill Lynch. Professor Duchac also serves on the advisory boards of private companies, and has advised numerous companies on risk management and accounting issues.
Professor Duchac holds BS and MSA degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a PhD from the University of Georgia.
